Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) officials investigating alleged links between Donald Trump's presidential campaign and Russia have led Trump's first intelligence briefing as a candidate, Politico reported, citing a declassified document it had access to.
Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe declassified the document, dated August 30, 2016, as a part of the inquiry into the possibly politically motivated origins of the so-called "Russia probe."
FBI agent Joe Pientka coordinated the aforementioned briefing but was later reportedly involved in the questioning of Trump's former advisor Michael Flynn during the "Russia probe." Pientka was allegedly instructed to make note of any mentions of Russia by Trump or Flynn, according to the report.
