Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta President and CEO Raphael Bostic stated on Wednesday that the Fed will support moving interest rates up in case inflation keeps persisting.
Bostic noted that a 0.75 bps is currently not his basis case and would be a low probability, adding that he will support 50bps increases until the rate reaches a neutral level.
Bostic particularly highlighted that if the gaps between supply and demand narrow, the current price pressures will considerably ease.
