Flipkart co-founder bets $92M on Ola

ANI Technologies Pvt. Ltd.'s Ola Cabs announced on Tuesday Sachin Bansal, co-founder of the e-commerce firm Flipkart, invested approximately $92 million into the ride-hailing company.

Bansal's investment is a part of Ola's ongoing Series J financing round which is expected to raise $1 billion, increasing the company value to $6 billion.

"Ola is one of India’s most promising consumer businesses, that is creating deep impact and lasting value for the ecosystem. On one hand, they have emerged as a global force in the mobility space and on the other, they continue to build deeper for various needs of a billion Indians through their platform, becoming a trusted household name today," Bansal said in a statement.

Chinese autonomous driving company WeRide Inc. announced on Friday the pricing of its initial public offering (IPO) of 7,742,400 American depositary shares at $15.50 per share.
