Ford Motor Co revealed on Monday in a statement that it has decided to cut the price of its electric vehicle Mustang Mach-E "across the board" to make it more affordable to customers and more competitive on the market. Depending on the model, the price reductions range from $600 to $5,900.
The carmaker added that it will "significantly" boost the production of the Mustang Mach-E in 2023. "The production increase is a key part of the Ford+ Plan, underscoring the company’s commitment to lead the EV revolution by increasing the value of its EVs for customers," the company said.
CEO Marin Gjaja noted the production boost aims to shorten waiting time for customers. "As we continue to build thrilling and exciting electric vehicles, we will continue to push the boundaries to make EVs more accessible for everybody," he commented.
