The shares of Fox Corp. tumbled more than 5% on Monday following the announcement that the primetime host, Tucker Carlson, will be leaving Fox News Media.
Fox News revealed earlier in a statement that it will be parting ways with Carlson. "We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor," it was written in the notice. The host's last appearance was on April 21. "Fox News Tonight will air live at 8 PM/ET starting this evening as an interim show helmed by rotating FOX News personalities until a new host is named," the company said.
The company's stock plunged 5.12% at 11:54 am ET, going for $31.9700 per share.
