France won't discriminate against Huawei - Le Maire

France will not discriminate against any telephone network company, including Huawei, Economy and Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire said on Thursday.

Speaking to Europe 1, Le Maire pointed out that 5G technology is more complex than 4G and can lead to more security risks.

The minister pointed out that it is "normal" for France to defend its independence, sovereignty and security. Le Maire stressed that those principles will contribute to France's final decision on 5G networks, but without discrimination.
