Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant underscored on Monday that Hamas in the southern part of the Gaza Strip will face a "worse" fate than those in the northern part of the enclave.

During the border visit in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, the defense minister stressed that the "action" taken by the Israeli military will "soon" lead to the "shattering" of Hamas in the entire area. Gallant also confirmed that Israeli Defense Forces have "begun to work in the south of Gaza Strip."

Namely, at least 50 people have been killed in the Palestinian enclave following Israel's airstrikes on schools in Gaza City.
