Real, price-adjusted, new factory orders in Germany saw a monthly increase of 1% in January, the country's Federal Statistical Office Destatis revealed on Tuesday.
Year over year, the figure dropped 10.9% in January. Month on month, while domestic orders registered a 5.3% decline, foreign orders rose 5.5%. In comparison to December 2022, new orders from the Eurozone fell by 2.9% and orders from the rest of the world jumped 11.2%.
New orders in capital goods surged 8.9% on a monthly basis in January, while intermediate and consumer goods slipped 8.9% and 5.5% respectively.
