Industrial production in Germany rose 2% on a monthly basis in February, the country's Federal Statistical Office Destatis said in a provisional report released on Thursday. Output in industry grew 0.6% in comparison to February 2022.

The uptick movement was driven by a 2.4% increase in the production excluding energy and construction, followed by a 3.4% jump in the output of capital goods. Consumer goods and intermediate goods production climbed 1.4% and 1.8% respectively.

However, energy production declined in February, dropping 1.1% in comparison to the last month's figure.
