German trade surplus up to €19.7 billion in November

The German trade surplus amounted to €19.7 billion in November, up from October's €13.4 billion and down from the €21.1 billion registered in November 2023, the country’s Federal Statistical Office Destatis revealed in a report on Thursday.

The country's calendar and seasonally adjusted goods exports amounted to €127.3 billion, rising 2.1% on a monthly level and declining by 3.5% year over year. Imports stood at €107.6 billion, down 3.3% month on month but 2.9% on an annual level.

Exports to the European Union fell by 1.7% in November compared to October, coming in at €67.8 billion, while imports decreased by 4.4% to €55.0 billion. Exports to the non-EU countries increased by 6.9% month on month to €59.5 billion, while imports dipped 2.1% to €52.6 billion.
