Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan (pictured left) and his German counterpart, Frank-Walter Steinmeier (pictured right), agreed that the two-state solution is the only way to resolve the crisis between Israel and Palestine, the Turkish Directorate of Communications announced on Friday.
During the hours-long meeting in Berlin, the two presidents vowed to join efforts to end the hostilities in the war-torn region and to hasten the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. Erdogan also called on Israel to immediately stop its attacks on the Palestinian territories.
"Ceasefire should be established immediately in the region," Erdogan stressed.
