Germany's Soeder urges faster Sputnik V approval

Bavaria's Prime Minister Markus Soeder called on the European Medicines Agency to speed up the approval process of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine.

"The vaccination engine must not stutter," the official asserted, adding that "above all, the Sputnik V process must be accelerated."

Previously, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the jab's approval process should be depoliticized.
