The price of gold jumped to a new record high on Tuesday, hitting the price of $3,030 per ounce as investors turned to safer investments amid growing geopolitical tensions after Israel resumed its attacks on the Gaza Strip last night, causing Yemen's Houthis to vow to "escalate the confrontation" with the United States and Israel.
Gold climbed by 0.98% and went for $3,030.80 per ounce at 8:15 am ET. Meanwhile, silver rose by 0.97% to sell for $34.19 per ounce at 8:16 am ET. Platinum grew by 0.54% and sold for $1,007.65 at 11:25 am CET, while palladium advanced by 0.50%, selling for $962.12 per ounce at 8:18 am ET.
