Alphabet Inc.'s Google announced on Wednesday its plan to integrate generative artificial intelligence (AI) with search results in the near future.
At a live presenting event in Paris, Google described AI as "the most profound way to expand access to high-quality information and improve the lives of people around the world." The company stressed its intention to implement a "high standard" in its technologies on "how to bring it [AI] to people" and to do it "boldly and responsibly." It also presented Live View and other future new features on Google Maps, which will be powered by AI.
Google added it will start onboarding new developers, creators, and enterprises to try its generative AI application programming interface (API) next month. The announcements come a day after Alphabet revealed its plan to launch a chatbot service similar to OpenAI's ChatGPT, Bard.
