Yemen's Houthi rebel group announced the death of five people following the Washington and London-led coalition's airstrikes across Yemen last night, the forces' spokesperson Yahya Saree disclosed on Friday. Another six have been wounded, he added.
The group accused the United States and Britain of launching a "brutal aggression" on Yemen by carrying out 73 strikes that also targeted the country's capital city of Sana'a, underscoring that the two countries bear full responsibility for the attack and stressed that the action will not go "unanswered" and "unpunished." In addition, the Houthi forces will "not hesitate" to target "sources of threat" on land and at sea in Yemen's defense, the spokesperson said.
The "aggression" will not deter Yemen from expressing its disapproval of the oppression against the Palestinian people, the group's spokesperson noted, adding that its forces will continue to prevent Israeli ships and other vessels from navigating in the Arab and Red Seas.
