The Yemen-based Houthis targeted two United States warships and a ship named Cyclades in the Red Sea on Monday, while also attacking the MSC Orion in the Indian Ocean, spokesperson of the Yemeni Armed Forces Yahya Sare'e (pictured) said in a post on X, formerly Twitter.
He claimed that the hit on the Cyclades was "accurate," justifying the assault by insisting that the ship ignored warnings "not to enter the unallowed ports in occupied Palestine." Furthermore, he added that the Houthis targeted the MSC Orion with "a number of drones."
Meanwhile, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported an explosion near a merchant vessel 54 nautical miles northwest of Al Mukha, Yemen on Monday.
