Turkey's annual consumer price index (CPI) reached a 20-year high, surging 61.14% in March, the Turkish Statistical Institute revealed in a report on Monday. The consumer price index increased 5.46% in comparison to the previous month.
The main groups where high annual increases were realized were transportation with 99.12%, food and non-alcoholic beverages with 70.33%, and furnishings and household equipment with 69.26%, the report stated.
