Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said on Monday in an appearance on national TV that the resistance front could take "preemptive measures" against Israel in the coming hours.
"We told the Americans that you cannot demand that Hezbollah exercise restraint while allowing [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu to commit any crime," the Iranian official stated.
He warned that "time [for a political resolution] is running out," adding that the possibility of a regional war is closer. "America sent us a message calling for restraint and not to expand the scope of the war. We told the Americans that we do not seek to expand the war, but that restraint will not be unilateral," he underscored.
