Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi described on Saturday the talks his team had with a United States delegation in Muscat, Oman, as "constructive" and held in a peaceful and "respectful" atmosphere without any "sharp words used."
Speaking to the press after the summit, Araghchi said that the official discussions lasted two and a half hours. He confirmed that the parties will continue their negotiations next Saturday and then talk about a "general framework" for achieving a solution to the countries' disagreement, linked wastly to Iran's nuclear program.
Commenting on his brief encounter with US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff, Aragchi said that "nothing extraordinary was exchanged with the US delegation. We simply greeted each other and spoke briefly after our delegations happened to cross paths while leaving the talks."
