Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Saturday met with the nation's reformist president-elect Masoud Pezeshkian for the first time.
Khamenei's office said he gave instructions to Pezeshkian and expressed hope that he would utilize the people's potential and the country's resources for progress and prosperity.
The meeting followed Iran's snap presidential elections on July 5, held after the death of former president Ebrahim Raisi.
