Tehran promised that its response to the latest Israeli strike will be "strong and complex," The Wall Street Journal reported on Sunday citing Iranian and Arab officials with knowledge of the matter.
The officials detailed that the retaliatory attack will comprise "even more powerful warheads and other weapons," compared to the last time the country targeted Israel's territory. The officials further mentioned that Iran plans to use its conventional army as four of its soldiers were killed by Israel. This doesn't mean that the military will be deployed, but rather that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps won't act alone.
The Iranian official detailed that Iraqi territory is likely to be used during the operation, further stating that while the main targets will continue to be Israeli military sites, they will be hit "much more aggressively than last time."
