The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) claimed on Sunday it conducted strikes on "terrorists from Hamas' Aerial Defense Unit in the Shejaiya area."
The IDF noted that it hit a command and control center in a building earlier used as the Al-Wafa Hospital. Israel claimed the site was used by "terrorists to plan and execute terrorist attacks against IDF troops in the immediate future." The Israeli military also insisted it took steps to "mitigate the risk of harming civilians and civil facilities" during the attack.
Earlier, Palestinian officials said that at least seven Palestinians were killed in the strike on the hospital.
