Israel Defense Forces (IDF) revealed on Thursday through a post on Telegram that during the night its soldiers and tanks carried out a short incursion into the northern Gaza Strip, striking numerous Hamas targets, infrastructure and anti-tank missile launch posts "in preparation for the next stages of combat."
"Overnight, the IDF conducted a targeted raid using tanks in the northern Gaza Strip, as part of preparations for the next stages of combat [...] During the activity, soldiers located and struck numerous terrorists, terror infrastructure and anti-tank missile launch posts, and operated to prepare the battlefield," the statement reads.
Earlier, The Wall Street Journal reported that Israel agreed to postpone the Gaza ground operation in order to receive air defense systems from the United States.
