Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued an evacuation order for the eastern edges of the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, signaling a potential new wave of attacks, as the death toll rose to 330, according to the Hamas-controlled Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza.
"Warning to all residents of the Gaza Strip located in the area marked in red, specifically in the neighborhoods of Beit Hanoun, Khirbet Khuza'a, Abasan al-Kabira, and al-Jadidah," IDF spokesperson for Arab Media Avichay Adraee said in a post on X, showing a map of the area which should be evacuated. "The IDF has launched a strong offensive against terrorist organizations. These marked areas are considered dangerous combat zones," he added, urging the residents to "immediately" go to shelters in the western parts of the Gaza Strip and those in Khan Yunis.
An anonymous Israeli official reportedly claimed previously that the IDF's renewed attacks on Gaza were "preemptive."
