Israel orders evacuation of over 20 towns in Lebanon

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) keeps on issuing evacuation orders to residents in Lebanon without restriction. On Monday, it ordered the population of over 20 towns in southern Lebanon to leave their homes, claiming that Hezbollah militants use these territories to plan military activities against Israel and "forced the IDF to act."

Sheheen, Jabin, Tayr Harfa, Abu Shash, Shama, Majdal Zoun, Mansouri, Zebqin, Rashidieh, Barghliyeh, Qasmiyeh, Bayada, Naqoura, Bint Jbeil, Ainata, Kounine, Aitaroun, Taybeh, Rab Thalathin, Markaba, Bani Hayyan are the towns listed in the IDF message.

"For your safety, you must evacuate your homes immediately and move to the north of the Awali River … You are prohibited from heading south. Any movement towards the south could pose a risk to your life. We will inform you of the appropriate time to return to your homes as soon as the appropriate conditions are available," IDF's Arabic spokesperson Avichay Adraee said.
