Israel shoots down missile launched from Yemen

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Monday a missile fired from Yemen was intercepted before it entered the country's airspace, shortly after air alarms were declared across central Israel.

It was said the court hearing in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's criminal trial was held in an underground courtroom while air raid sirens sounded in Tel Aviv.

There has been no immediate news of casualties or material damage.
