The Israeli Defense Army (IDF) ordered on Monday the evacuation of the western parts of the city of Khan Younis, adding it was ready to start a forceful operation against the terrorist groups allegedly operating in the area.
"The IDF will continue to act against the Hamas terrorist organization, which uses the residents of Gaza as human shields for its terrorist activity and infrastructure," the IDF said in a statement published on X.
The military's new offensive is in response to what they described as numerous terrorist attacks and rocket fire from the eastern part of the humanitarian zone targeting Israel.
