The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that the series of airstrikes on Iran termed Operation "Days of Atonement" have ended.

The IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari said the army struck Iranian military facilities, including targets in the country's capital, Tehran. "We have proven today that we have the ability to act decisively and that we are ready to attack and defend the State of Israel and the citizens of Israel," Hagari stressed. "The IDF mission has been completed," he said, adding that anyone who threatens Israel will "pay a heavy price."

At the same time, Israel's public broadcaster reported that the attack involved 20 targets across Iran, lasting several hours.
