The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced that its airstrike on southern Lebanon killed Hezbollah's rocket and missile unit commander, Muhammed Ismail, and his deputy, Hussein Ismail.
Following its second wave of attacks on Beirut, Israel said it had hit Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon. Israeli Air Force fighter jets previously destroyed rockets launched toward Israeli territory from southern Lebanon.
Iranian state media reported that the country has placed the air force of both Artesh and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on the highest state of alert.
