The Israeli military announced it is conducting a raid on the Al-Shifa Hospital complex in the Gaza Strip as part of its "precise" operation against the Palestinian branch of Hamas.
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) asserted that the operation aims to defeat the group and rescue hostages, emphasizing that the conflict is "with Hamas, not with the civilians in Gaza." The Palestinian Health Ministry earlier said the military alerted Gaza authorities of the impending attack, advising those on the premises to stay away from the windows to minimize risks.
The news comes after the international community, including the United States, expressed deep concern over the relentless attacks on hospitals in the Strip.
