Israel's UNRWA ban sparks criticism from Jordan and Europe

Ireland, Norway, Slovenia and Spain issued a joint statement stating that the Knesset's ban on the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) set a dangerous precedent for the United Nations and other organizations.

The four European countries emphasized UNRWA's mandate from the United Nations General Assembly and pledged to support its humanitarian efforts.

Jordan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs later joined the criticism, calling the ban "illegal and invalid."
