The Azzuri took charge in the second half, dominating the pitch until Leonardo Bonucci's goal in the 67th minute. Even though Italy kept the pressure up for the rest of the game, their ball possession did not result in another goal. The extra time gave way to a penalty shootout, with Italy's Belotti and Jorginho, and England's Rashford, Sancho and Saka missing their shots. Italy last won the Euro in 1968, reaching the quarter-finals in 2016.
