Italy joined the United States, Canada and Australia in halting its financial support to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani (pictured) announced.

Tajani said this decision aligns with those made by other allies of Israel, emphasizing a commitment to humanitarian assistance while safeguarding Israel's security.

The funding cut follows Israel's allegation that some UNRWA staff members were involved in the October 7 attack.
