Japan sanctions Russia weapons exporter, defence officials

Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced new sanctions against Russia, which include defence officials and JSC Rosoboronexport, the only state organization in Russia for exporting the entire range of military, dual-use products and services and technologies.

On the list of newly sanctioned companies were also JSC Russian Helicopters, JSC NPO High Precision Systems, Rosneft Aero, JSC United Shipbuilding Corporation etc.

When it comes to Russian oligarchs, Russia's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova was added to the list, along with many Russian officials from the Defense Department. All of the individuals and entities on the list will have their assets frozen.
