Japan's inflation rises from 2.3% to 2.9%

The annual inflation in Japan came in at 2.9% in November, higher than October's figure of 2.3%, according to a report released by the Statistics Bureau of Japan on Friday.

The headline index stood at 110, with data also showing that consumer prices excluding fresh food and energy increased from last month's figure of 2.3% to 2.4% year-on-year, while the same index excluding only fresh food came in at 2.7% against last month's 2.3% on a yearly basis.
