The annual inflation in Japan came in at 3.6% in December, higher than November's figure of 2.9%, according to a report released by the Statistics Bureau of Japan on Friday.
The headline index stood at 110.7, with data also showing that consumer prices excluding fresh food and energy stood at 2.4% year-on-year, while the same index excluding only fresh food came in at 3% against last month's 2.7% on a yearly basis.
