British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said the violent acts perpetrated on civilians in the Ukrainian town of Bucha, which he attributed to Russian forces, "don't look far short of genocide." When the evidence of the alleged crimes first reached the United Kingdom, Johnson vowed to do everything in his power to "starve Putin's war machine."
"It is no wonder people are responding in the way that they are. I have no doubt that the international community, Britain very much in the front rank, will be moving again in lockstep to impose more sanctions and more penalties on Vladimir Putin's regime," Johnson told reporters.
