Jurgen Klopp (pictured) revealed on Friday that he will be stepping down as manager of Liverpool Football Club at the conclusion of the ongoing season.
Klopp, who has been at the helm of Liverpool since 2015, informed the owners of his decision to leave in November. Although his contract was set to expire in 2026, the 56-year-old will be departing two years early because he is "running out of energy."
"I love absolutely everything about this club, I love everything about the city, I love everything about our supporters, I love the team, I love the staff. I love everything. But that I still take this decision shows you that I am convinced it is the one I have to take. It is that I'm running out of energy," Klopp said in an interview posted on the club's site.
