Labour: Sunak failed to grow economy

British Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves (pictured) on Friday accused Prime Minister Rishi Sunak of failing to grow the country's economy after the latest report showed that the United Kingdom's economy was on the brink of a recession.

"Rishi Sunak is a Prime Minister whose legacy is one of failure. He failed to beat Liz Truss, he failed to cut waiting lists, he failed to stop the boats and now he has failed to grow the economy," Reeves said. She further noted that "13 years of economic failure" under the Conservative Party have only resulted in higher bills, mortgages, and shop prices.

"Only Labour has a long-term plan to grow the economy and make working people better off," Reeves pointed out.
