"Barring a material change," the European Central Bank will likely continue to raise interest rates in July, ECB President Christine Lagarde said on Thursday.
The ECB has not yet arrived at its destination when it comes to its goals and still has ground to cover, she told reporters at a press conference, implying that speaking about a terminal rate is still too early.
Although she refused to make detailed comments on yesterday's decision by the United States Federal Reserve, Lagarde clarified that the ECB is not thinking about pausing interest rate hikes.
