European Central Bank (ECB) President Christine Lagarde said on Thursday the bank is "very unlikely" to raise interest rates before 2023.
Still, Lagarde noted the ECB's future decisions will depend on incoming data and the further development of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The comments came after the central bank announced it will slow the pace of its net asset purchases under the pandemic emergency purchase program (PEPP) in the first quarter of 2022 and end PEPP in March.
