Lagarde: Second-half outlook clouded

European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde said on Thursday that the economic outlook for the second half of this year and beyond is quite "clouded."

"Economic activity is slowing. The impact of high inflation on purchasing power, continuous supply constraints and higher uncertainty are having a dampening effect on the economy," noted Lagarde.

Nevertheless, she also underlined that "there are tentative signs" that certain supply bottlenecks "are easing."
