Large number of LAPD officers arrive at University of California

A "large number" of Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officers arrived at the University of California (UCLA) campus, as students continued to protest the conflict in the Gaza Strip, Bill Melugin, national correspondent for Fox News, reported.

Footage from the protest, posted by Melugin on X, formerly Twitter, shows police officers in riot gear arriving at the scene, in what can only be described as a substantial number. "Tensions are building big-time," according to Melugin.

The LAPD is apparently centering around Dickson Plaza, the site of the main protest camp. Student journalists with UCLA’s student newspaper posted several pictures on X, claiming that the LAPD is "carrying non-lethal rounds."
