German airline Lufthansa announced on Thursday that it is suspending all flights to and from Tel Aviv until August 8 due to "current developments in the region."
Earlier, Israeli Channel 12 reported that a Lufthansa flight from Munich to Tel Aviv diverted to Larnaca International Airport in Cyprus after the crew refused to continue to Israel.
Tensions in the Middle East continue to rise, with Iran reportedly issuing an order on "direct strikes" against Israel in retaliation for the death of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh, who was killed in an Israeli strike in Tehran while attending the inauguration of Iran's new President Masoud Pezeshkian.
