Sirens blared in the southern Israeli city of Eilat, the Times of Israel reported, citing sources.

According to the media outlet, the cause of the air alert was an intercepted drone. The Israeli military, reportedly confirmed that the Iron Dome system neutralized the "suspicious aerial target" breaching Eilat's airspace.

Eilat, Israel's southernmost city, faced repeated attempts of drone and missile attacks by Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen, especially since the violence in Gaza escalated on October 7, last year.
