United States Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick told CNBC in an interview on Thursday that he doesn't believe there will be exemptions to tariffs.
He went on to say that Washington is currently negotiating with "all major trading countries," adding that it would not be "effective" for them to retaliate and insisting that the US products will "have to be sold there."
With US President Donald Trump's reciprocal tariffs, "I expect most countries to start to really examine their trade policies," Lutnick remarked.
