French President Emmanuel Macron and Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas talked on Monday about "the framework for the day after" regarding the Israel-Palestine conflict.
Macron said on X that having a plan is of the utmost importance, as well as disarming Hamas, establishing credible governance, and reinstating the Palestinian Authority. He sees this as secure progress towards a two-state solution, one "in the service of peace and security."
His statement follows the announcement of the European Commission regarding a multiannual program for Palestinian recovery worth €1.6 billion.
