Maersk tells ships to pause Red Sea transit

AP Moller-Maersk A/S told several western media outlets on Friday that it notified all of its ships that they should halt transit through the Red Sea temporarily.

The Danish logistics company specified that it decided to take that step in light of the attacks on its vessels over the past two days.

The order applies to all Maersk ships planning to use the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
