Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev stated on Monday that the present state of affairs between Moscow and Washington surpasses the tension witnessed during the 1962 Cuban missile crisis.
"This is a full-fledged war against Russia with American weapons, with the participation of American special forces and American advisers," Tass News Agency cited Medvedev as saying. Medvedev also stressed that the United States and "its satellites" incite wars around the world "under the pretext of spreading democracy" to "make money," underlining that the conflict in Ukraine has become a clash between two civilizations.
"The main threat in the world is the threat of nuclear conflict," Medvedev pointed out, noting that Russia will win its military operation in Ukraine, and see the surrender of neo-Nazis. "One of the former leaders of Ukraine once said that Ukraine is not Russia. This concept must disappear forever. Ukraine is, of course, Russia," he added.
