Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni (pictured) expressed her concern over the US Inflation Reduction Act Tuesday.

"We cannot hide the potential distorting and discriminatory effects toward European businesses that it could generate," Meloni mentioned during her appearance at the Lower House of the Italian Parliament. At the same time, she pointed out that her government is ready to support the efforts for an intervention to protect European families and companies.

"We consider as positive the measures that favor competitiveness and protect the strategic production while preserving the integrity of the common market without discrimination," emphasized the Italian prime minister.
